We have been providing Kuala Lumpur with a taste of the Island of Jamaica every 2nd and 4th Sunday of the month at Cloth &amp; Clef and are happy to introduce to you our Legendary Grilled Jerk Chicken!<br /><span style="font-weight: bold;"><br />The Jerk Chicken Story:</span><br /><br />Jerk Chicken is one of the oldest dishes to come from the Island of Jamaica. From the fire-pit to the grill, the story of Jerk Chicken incorporates influences from Africa, Europe, India and China.<br /><br />The term jerk is said to come from the word charqui, a Spanish term for jerked or dried meat, which eventually became jerky in English.
